Job summary

Citigroup Inc. is seeking an entry-level Universal Banker in New York, NY. The role supports the customer service team to build loyalty and increase sales to individual consumer clients through everyday banking interactions.

You will assist with basic account openings, resolve service issues, and act as a point of contact for customers, while upholding bank policies and risk controls. This position offers exposure to retail banking operations and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
• Previous Retail Banking or similar experience required.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic account opening for existing customers.
• Provide service delivery to resolve account service issues.
• Execute financial transactions per bank policies and procedures.
• Refer opportunities to segment partners where appropriate.
• Create sales opportunities from service transactions and resolve complaints promptly.
• Support sales by participating in seminars, micromarketing events, campaigns, product initiatives.
• Adhere to operational controls and regulatory procedures to safeguard assets.
• Assess risk in business decisions, drive compliance and escalate control issues transparently.
