Job summary

HEICO in Temecula, CA is seeking a Technician I to perform aircraft component repair under supervision, adhering to approved docs and FAA regulations. You will disassemble, clean, inspect, evaluate work orders, and assist parts ordering, within defined procedures.

You will maintain a clean work area, document training, and follow safety policies while developing skills in electrical and mechanical repairs with on-the-job training and potential for growth.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret federal regulations, customer documents, engineering drawings, manufacturers' maintenance manuals and safety rules.
• Aviation maintenance requires proficiency in reading and creating documentation in the English language.
• Basic capability to use standard tools safely and effectively.
• Basic knowledge related to electrical or mechanical repair processes.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and QE ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document part maintenance functions under guidance: disassembly, cleaning, inspections, WO evaluation, parts ordering, repair, and testing.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Ensure training records are created and updated for OJT as proficiency is reached.
• Comply with PHS safety and employee policies.
• Identify and request consumables or tooling as needed before use.
• Perform other tasks as required.
