Job summary

Heico-6 seeks an entry-level Aircraft Technician I to assist with repair processes under supervision, following approved docs and FAA rules. The role involves disassembly, cleaning, inspections, and testing, with emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Ideal candidates have basic electrical/mechanical knowledge and a willingness to learn; strong organization, reliability, and teamwork are essential. Overtime may be required to meet production needs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; some mechanical/electrical/repair experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret regulatory documents, drawings, and manuals in English.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and unit conversions.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work overtime as production requires.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document part maintenance functions under guidance including disassembly, cleaning, inspections, WO evaluation, ordering parts, repair, and testing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Record training records when OJT starts and update when proficiency is achieved.
  • Adhere to PHS safety and employee policies.
  • Identify consumables or tooling needed in the repair process before use.
  • Perform other required tasks.
