Job summary

Heico-6 is seeking a Technician I to perform a variety of aircraft component repair processes under supervision, following approved documentation, PHS/MWA procedures, and applicable FAA regulations. The role includes documenting work and maintaining clean, organized work areas.

Preferred candidates have basic electrical or mechanical knowledge and a willingness to learn, with a mechanic stamp to be obtained within six months.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; some mechanical, electrical, or repair experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and manuals.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills (Word, Excel, ERP).
  • Willingness to work with supervision and follow defined procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document part maintenance functions under guidance, including disassembly, cleaning, inspections, and testing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Create training records for OJT and ensure proficiency is documented.
  • Adhere to safety and employee policies; follow PHS procedures.
  • Identify consumables or tooling needs before use.
  • Perform other tasks as required.
