Job summary

Diversified is seeking an Associate Field Engineer to support on-site commissioning and system validation in the New England region. This entry-level role focuses on learning company standards, tools, and processes while developing hands-on skills in AV and basic networking systems.

You will assist field engineers, follow procedures for AV configuration, and help troubleshoot AV and IP-based networks, all while maintaining documentation and safety on active construction sites.

Qualifications

• Interest in AV or technical systems shown through education or hands-on experience.
• Ability to follow directions, work in a team, and learn quickly.
• Basic understanding of signal flow and AV components.
• Audinate IP Networking for AV Systems certification (or ability to obtain).
• Extron AV Associate certification (or ability to obtain).
• Willingness to travel and work on active construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist more advanced field engineers with system commissioning, validation, and testing activities.
• Follow documented procedures for configuration and commissioning of AV equipment.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of AV and IP-based network systems.
• Maintain organized documentation of field observations and testing results.
• Prepare tools, test equipment, and materials for field use.
• Follow safety procedures and project protocols while working on-site.
• Participate in training sessions to build technical knowledge and system familiarity.
• Collaborate with field teams to support successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
