Job summary

Diversified seeks an Associate Field Engineer to support on‑site commissioning and system validation, learning our standards, tools, and processes while developing hands‑on AV and basic networking skills. This foundational role offers growth into more advanced engineering positions within the organization.

You will collaborate with field teams, follow documented procedures, and assist with testing, configuration, and documentation for AV systems on active projects in the New England area.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated interest in AV or technical systems through education or hands‑on experience.
• Ability to follow directions, work in a team, and learn quickly.
• Basic understanding of signal flow and AV system components.
• Audinate IP Networking for AV Systems certification or ability to obtain.
• Extron AV Associate certification or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist more advanced field engineers with system commissioning, validation, and testing activities.
• Follow documented procedures for configuration and commissioning of AV equipment.
• Perform basic troubleshooting of AV and IP‑based network systems.
• Maintain organized documentation of field observations and testing results.
• Prepare tools, test equipment, and materials for field use.
• Follow safety procedures and project protocols while on-site.
• Participate in training sessions to build technical knowledge and system familiarity.
• Collaborate with field teams to support project delivery and client satisfaction.

How You’ll Contribute:

The Associate Field Engineer supports on‑site commissioning and system validation by assisting with configuration, testing, and troubleshooting tasks under direct supervision. What You’ll Bring:

Required Skills/Qualifications:

• Demonstrated interest in AV or technical systems through education or hands‑on experience.
• Ability to follow directions, work in a team, and learn quickly.
• Basic understanding of signal flow and AV system components.
• Audinate Introduction to IP Networking for AV Systems certification (or ability to obtain).
• Extron AV Associate certification (or ability to obtain).
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail in field settings.
• Willingness to travel and work on active construction or commercial sites.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• AVIXA Recognized Technologist Certificate
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
• DSP certification from one or more of the following manufacturers: Biamp, QSC, BSS
• Control certification from one or more of the following manufacturers: QSC, Extron, Crestron
• Prior experience working with AV systems, IT hardware, or low‑voltage installations.
• Familiarity with cable termination, racking, or basic system wiring.
• OSHA‑10 or other safety certifications.
