Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking an entry-level Automotive Technician to perform inspections, maintenance, and basic-to-intermediate repairs in a shop environment. You’ll work with experienced technicians, gain hands-on experience, and have opportunities for advancement toward more senior roles.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of automotive experience in a shop environment or equivalent training.
• Ability to follow written procedures, torque specs, and safety standards.
• Willingness to ask for help, accept coaching, and elevate concerns when appropriate.
• Basic proficiency with shop technology and documentation tools.
• Ability to possess and use basic tools required for the role.
• Valid driver’s license and MVR check completed.
• State Inspector License or ability to obtain within 30 days if required.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, 18+ years of age.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-point and digital vehicle inspections documenting findings and photos.
• Complete maintenance and entry-level repairs such as oil, filters, tires, brakes, and basic systems.
• Handle tire mounting, balancing, rotations, and related wear-item replacements.
• Perform basic diagnostics with guidance and escalate complex issues to senior staff.
• Follow repair procedures and post-repair checks, requesting verification when needed.
• Communicate findings and repair status to managers and service advisors.
