Sun Auto Tire & Service in Surprise, AZ is seeking a General Service Technician. This entry-level role focuses on essential maintenance tasks, oil changes, tire services, and Digital Vehicle Inspections, with learning opportunities from experienced technicians and store leaders.

You’ll grow foundational shop skills in a structured automotive service environment, collaborating with service advisors and technicians while maintaining a clean, safe work area and supporting a flexible weekend

Qualifications

• Entry-level role suitable for mechanically inclined individuals.
• Ability to follow procedures and safety standards.
• Excellent teamwork and ability to learn from experienced staff.
• Must be 18+ with valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire services, including mounting, dismounting, balancing, and rotations.
• Perform oil changes and basic maintenance, including fluids, wipers, bulbs, batteries, and air and cabin filters.
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections and repair order documentation accurately and thoroughly.
• Identify safety-related issues and communicate findings through the proper store channels.
• Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections, where applicable, in an ethical manner and in line with all company and state guidelines under appropriate supervision.
• Keep customer vehicles, the shop, service area, showroom, restrooms, and outside areas clean and customer-ready.
• Transport customers and pick up parts, tires, and supplies using company or customer vehicles as directed.
• Follow all safety procedures, use required PPE, comply with environmental and hazardous waste requirements, and report hazards or unsafe equipment to your supervisor.
• Work collaboratively with technicians and service advisors, accept coaching, and participate in ongoing training and development.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends as needed, and complete other duties as assigned.
