Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in Anthem, AZ is seeking a General Service Technician to join our hands-on shop team. This entry-level role supports vehicle maintenance, performs oil changes and tire services, and participates in inspections while learning from experienced technicians and store leaders.

You will handle Digital Vehicle Inspections, maintenance tasks, and basic repairs, while following safety procedures and quality standards in a busy automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn basic automotive maintenance and repair processes.
• Ability to follow written procedures, safety standards, and store processes.
• Strong interest or desire to work in the automotive repair industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire services, including mounting, dismounting, balancing, and rotations.
• Perform oil changes and basic maintenance, including fluids, wipers, bulbs, batteries, and air and cabin filters.
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections and repair order documentation accurately and thoroughly.
• Identify safety-related issues and communicate findings through the proper store channels.
• Conduct State Safety and Emission Inspections, where applicable, in an ethical manner and in line with all company and state guidelines under appropriate supervision.
• Keep customer vehicles, the shop, service area, showroom, restrooms, and outside areas clean and customer-ready.
• Transport customers and pick up parts, tires, and supplies using company or customer vehicles as directed.
