Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service in Livermore is seeking a General Service Technician for an entry-level role in a hands-on shop. You will perform routine vehicle maintenance, oil changes, tire services, and inspections while learning from seasoned technicians and store leaders.

This position offers paid training, benefits, and clear growth toward higher technician roles; you’ll work a flexible schedule, including weekends, and contribute to a clean, safe, customer-ready shop environment.

Qualifications

• Reliable, safety-focused and mechanically inclined; eager to learn.
• Ability to follow written procedures and safety standards.
• Able to work with technicians, service advisors and store leaders.
• Valid driver's license and pass MVR check.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire services, including mounting, dismounting, balancing and rotations.
• Perform oil changes and basic maintenance.
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections and documentation.
• Identify safety-related issues and communicate findings.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE guidelines.
• Keep shop clean and customer-ready.
• Transport parts and supplies as directed.
• Work with technicians and service advisors and participate in training.
• Adhere to Sun Auto's core values and policies.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
