Job summary

UFP Industries in Delano, CA is looking for an Assembler I to fabricate component parts and assemble finished products according to customer specifications. You secure the required parts and supplies for the operation and set up your work area to ensure accurate, high‑quality results.

Use hand tools, inspect materials and output, and keep production records while following safety and quality standards. A basic math ability and a team‑oriented attitude are desirable.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Completes work area setup.
  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
  • Stacks completed products per procedures, and may cover, label, and band components finished product.
  • Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized and equipment is safe to operate.
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection and reports problems.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Maintains production records as required.
  • Checks materials and finished products for compliance with standards.
  • Performs duties per safety and quality procedures; participates in safety, CI, and other programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
