Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc is seeking an Assembly I to fabricate components or assemble products per customer specifications, ensuring correct parts and supplies are ready for production. You will follow prescribed instructions and use hand tools to complete assembly tasks.

Maintain a clean, safe work area, document production records, and support safety and quality programs. The role requires a high school diploma or GED (not strictly required), up to 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred,

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

  • Set up work area for assembly.
  • Fit parts together per instructions and quality standards.
  • Operate hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
  • Stack completed products per procedures and, if required, cover/label/band components finished product.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area and ensure equipment is safe to operate.
  • Complete pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and report issues or concerns.
  • Maintain production records as required.
  • Check materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Follow safety and quality procedures, rules and standards; participate in safety/CI programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
