Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products according to customer specifications. You will secure and prepare the correct parts and supplies required for the operation, and you may be asked to cover or label components as needed.

You will follow prescribed instructions, operate hand tools, ensure the work area is safe and clean, complete startup and inspection checklists, maintain production records, and participate in safety and quality

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • 6 months manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

  • Completes work area setup.
  • Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
  • Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures; may cover, label, and band components.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area and ensures equipment is safe to operate.
  • Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems.
  • Maintains production records as required.
  • Checks materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Performs duties in line with safety and quality procedures; participates in safety and CI programs and meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
