Job summary

UFP Industries in Delano, CA is seeking an Assembler II to fabricate component parts or assemble the finished product according to customer specifications. You will secure and maintain the correct parts and supplies such as plates, nails, staples, fasteners, and related items.

You will set up the work area, fit parts together to the prescribed method and quality standards, operate presses and hand tools, and stack finished products.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience assembling components or specialty products is required; 1 year preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete work area setup.
• Fit parts together in accordance with the prescribed manner and in accordance with quality standards.
• Operate presses and machinery in addition to hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stack completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label and band components/finished product.
• Ensure work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.
• Complete pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and report any problems or concerns.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
• Provide basic TPM to equipment and complete TPM paperwork when required.
• Maintain production records as required.
• Check materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
• Perform duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participate in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
