Job summary

Mesa Energy Systems, Inc. in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an Application Engineer I to coordinate the planning and design of control systems, including programming and system configuration for HVAC projects.

The role requires reading floor plans, identifying equipment, developing control algorithms, and creating P&IDs; strong communication, basic electrical knowledge, and proficiency with AutoCAD/Visio are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent field experience.
2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in applications engineering with Niagara AX/N4; N4 certification preferred.
Knowledge of HVAC control systems and networking protocols (BACnet/MODbus/Tridium).
Strong communication, problem-solving and documentation skills.
EIT or PE license a plus.

Responsibilities

Coordinate planning and design of control systems including programming and configuration.
Work with vendors to coordinate communication protocols, encryption, and database requirements.
Read floor plans and identify equipment such as chillers, boilers, pumps, AHUs and VAVs.
Develop control submittals, create P&IDs, and implement control graphics and algorithms.
Assist with installation, testing, customer acceptance, and training.
Create guidelines and templates for typical projects; knowledge of NEC basics.
