Job summary

Sierra Space is hiring an entry-level Test Engineer I to contribute to the testing and validation of aerospace systems and components. You will assist in planning, executing, and documenting Verification and Validation activities under senior engineers’ guidance, gaining hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary team environment.

You will help develop a foundational understanding of engineering principles, support test procedures, troubleshoot routine issues, and prepare test data and reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
• 0–2 years of experience typical for an entry-level role
• Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices
• Familiarity with multi-disciplinary design and development teams and following instructions from senior engineers
• Exposure to Verification and Validation (V&V) activities, requirements management, system design, and systems integration
• Familiarity with Product and Quality Assurance principles and non-conformances
• Familiarity with schematics, service manuals, test procedures, and logical troubleshooting techniques

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, conducting, and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities for aerospace systems and components
• Support testing activities and resolve routine technical problems under the guidance of senior engineers
• Prepare and document test data, reports, and technical information to support project goals
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to team members and senior engineers
