Job summary

Sierra Space is hiring an Aerospace Engineer II to contribute to the design, analysis, and testing of aerospace systems and components. You will engage in vehicle-level analysis and system design, with focus areas such as aerodynamics, aerothermal, or astrodynamics, applying core aerospace principles to support diverse projects.

You’ll document data for project progress, communicate technical concepts clearly, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve goals.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Typically, 2+ years of related experience.
• Strong understanding of Aerodynamics, Astrodynamics, Thermal Analysis, Dynamics and Vibration, GN&C, Mass Properties.
• Familiar with vehicle-level analysis and system design.
• Application of aerospace principles, standards, theories, first-order analysis, and concepts.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, analysis, and testing of aerospace systems and components.
• Perform vehicle-level analysis and system design tasks in areas such as aerodynamics, aerothermal, or astrodynamics.
• Develop and document technical data and reports for traceability and project progress.
• Communicate complex technical information clearly within cross-functional teams.
• Participate in technical reviews and problem-solving discussions to drive project success.
