Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Test Engineer I to support test and certification of aerospace and defense products. You will develop basic test plans, execute tests on components and systems, and document results while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the program lifecycle.

The role emphasizes system testing of mission equipment and C4ISR domains, with focus on meeting design and functionality standards and supporting post-production follow-ups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or related field is required.
• 0-2+ years of experience in test engineering or a related role.
• Basic understanding of requirements, testing principles, and methodologies.
• Exposure to planning, conducting and documenting verification and validation activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and execution of test plans and procedures.
• Perform basic testing and validation of components and systems/sub-systems.
• Record and analyze test data, providing initial reports on test results.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure test requirements are understood and met.
• Maintain test equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionality.
• Participate in internal/external meetings and briefs.
