Job summary

Divergent is seeking an entry-level Manufacturing Operations Support Technician to join our advanced manufacturing environment. You will assist machinists and technicians with part preparation, deburring, and basic assembly, while learning across machining, anodizing, and facility operations in a fast-paced shop.

This hands-on role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and the ability to follow instructions. You will work under mentorship, operate basic shop equipment, and contribute to logistics,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required (completed or in progress).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Physically able to work in confined areas and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support machinists and technicians with part preparation, loading/unloading, racking, and material movement.
• Perform post-machining tasks such as deburring, hand trimming, polishing, and part cleaning.
• Assist with shop floor logistics including moving parts between work centers and supporting shipping/receiving needs.
• Conduct light mechanical assembly and basic machine maintenance tasks (coolant checks, chip removal).
• Operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and shop equipment (band saws, drill presses).
• Read and follow work instructions and documentation.
• Contribute to shop organization, cleanliness, and safety by following FOD and 6S standards.
