Job summary

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor, seeks an Accounting Services Specialist for our Columbus, Ohio location. The role supports new accounts, sales tax, accounts payable, and data accuracy while delivering exceptional service daily.

Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm; the role is onsite, with a benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401(k) match, and PTO. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Excel is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• General business experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, coworkers, supervisors, and managers in written and verbal form.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily administrative tasks for new account creation and maintenance, sales tax, accounts payable, and address validations.
• Provide exceptional service to customers, sales representatives and internal staff.
• Contact sales representatives to obtain missing new account details to ensure accurate customer records.
• Set up new accounts, manual accounts, and Sales Reps accounts.
• Handle calls and voicemail professionally.
• Assist with tax certificate requests and sales tax audit preparations as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth processes.
• Interact with customers, sales reps, and internal associates to resolve discrepancies and answer inquiries.
