Job summary

Kimball Midwest, a nationwide distributor of maintenance, repair, and operations products, is seeking an Accounting Services Specialist for our Columbus, Ohio location.

You will assist with daily administrative tasks for new account creation, sales tax, and accounts payable, while delivering exceptional service to customers, sales representatives, and internal staff. This onsite role requires strong bookkeeping basics, Microsoft Office proficiency, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• General business experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of bookkeeping principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and colleagues.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; Excel skills required.
• Reliable, able to handle confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily admin tasks for new accounts, sales tax, accounts payable, and address validation.
• Provide excellent service to customers, sales reps, and internal staff.
• Contact sales reps for missing account details to ensure accuracy.
• Set up new, manual, and Sales Rep accounts.
• Handle calls and voicemail professionally.
• Assist with tax certificate requests and sales tax audit prep.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth processes.
• Resolve discrepancies and maintain positive relationships with customers and reps.
