Job summary

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, is seeking a full-time Contact Center Associate I for our Columbus, Ohio location. You will support sales reps, customers and internal staff, handle high call volume, and enter orders.

This on-site role includes a 90-day orientation and comprehensive benefits. To succeed, demonstrate professional communication, basic math, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; prior call center or customer service experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, AX, Excel, etc.).
• Professional communication skills with management, sales reps, customers, and co-workers.
• Previous call center or customer service experience preferred.
• Must work fully in the office in Columbus, OH; this is not a remote role.
• Successful completion of a 90-day orientation period.

• Adhere to company scripts, policies, and quality standards.
• Handle high call volume and multitask.
• Provide accurate information regarding products, services, policies and procedures.
• Resolve customer issues efficiently and, when necessary, route complex cases to appropriate departments.
• Enter phoned‑in orders (subject to company parameters) and special‑order entry projects assigned by management.
• Perform monthly call tracking.
• Perform quarterly time tracking.
• Respond the same day to all voicemails, emails, and Teams messages received within working hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, AX, Excel, etc.).
• Professional communication skills with management, sales representatives, customers, and co‑workers in both written and verbal form.
• Previous call center or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to read and write small letters and numbers; perform arithmetic calculations; understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Must work fully in the office in Columbus, OH; this is not a remote or hybrid role.
• Successful completion of a 90‑day orientation period.

Additional Information

This role is Monday‑Friday with hours of 10:00 am‑6:30 pm and is onsite.
