Black & Veatch is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to help support water and wastewater infrastructure projects across multiple office locations, including Houston, Kansas City, and San Antonio. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (ABET/accredited) is required.
• Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, MVR).
• Open to hybrid/remote work options after initial period and location flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Develops familiarity with departmental design guides and standards.
• Coordinates with multidisciplinary project teams for water and wastewater projects.
• Participates in coordination meetings and resolves design challenges.
• Performs routine research and recommends equipment/materials.
• Prepares basic engineering calculations following standard methods.
• Assists with project schedules, cost estimates and deliverables.
• Focuses on internal client needs while understanding external drivers.
• Develops knowledge of engineering software and digital delivery methods.
