Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer to contribute to critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects across multiple office locations in the Southeast. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, perform basic engineering calculations, and support design guides, scheduling, and cost estimates while applying engineering software and digital delivery methods.

Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment to accommodate project

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering (accredited program).
Basic knowledge of water/wastewater design and related codes.
Willingness to learn and work on infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Develops familiarity by reading and applying design guides, standards, and codes.
Coordinates with multidisciplinary teams to support design of water and wastewater projects.
Participates in project meetings and resolves design challenges.
Performs routine research and provides recommendations for equipment/materials.
Prepares basic engineering calculations using standard methods.
Assists with project schedules, cost estimates, and deliverables.
Gains basic understanding of external client drivers and internal team needs.
Applies engineering software and digital delivery tools.
