Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation in Kansas City area seeks an entry-level Graduate Electrical Engineer for Water projects. You will support design and analysis across water infrastructure, with growth into Power Systems and electrical delivery in a collaborative, supportive environment.

You will join the Water & Wastewater department in a hands-on role that builds on academic knowledge while addressing real-world infrastructure challenges. Hybrid options may apply after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
• Pre-employment checks may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search.
• Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Develops familiarity by reading, understanding and applying departmental design guides, standards, systems, applicable engineering codes and Black and Veatch policies and procedures
• Contributes to preparation of less complex engineering deliverables such as drawings, reports, specifications, and studies of limited scope
• Performs routine research and develops recommendations for equipment and/or materials selection
• Prepares basic engineering calculations following standard methods and principles used in similar engineering analysis
• Understands and adheres to budget, schedule, and quality requirements
