Job summary

HonorHealth is hiring an Entree Cook to prepare cafeteria and catering meals, including therapeutic diets. Responsibilities include cooking, stocking, and operating kitchen equipment in a hospital food service setting.

The role requires adherence to food safety standards, accurate temperature checks, and teamwork within the Food Services department. Day shifts with varied mornings are available.

Qualifications

• Requires cooking experience and knowledge of kitchen processes.
• Food safety and sanitation training preferred.
• Experience with standard recipes and food handling procedures.
• Ability to follow menus, schedules and dietary restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare entrees, vegetables, starches, sauces and soups.
• Set up and service meals according to schedule and procedures.
• Cook with ovens, choppers, mixers, grills and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintain safe food temperatures and monitor storage conditions.
• Record temperature checks on logs for compliance.
• Plan and adjust production to meet patient census and supervisor instructions.
• Ensure sanitary standards throughout food preparation area.
• Coordinate daily production with cafeteria and patient needs.
• Verify storeroom items and requisition additional supplies as needed.
