The Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services is seeking an Entitlements Specialist to oversee client benefits within the Adult Residential Services division in New York. Under supervision, you will coordinate SSA/PA benefits, Medicaid disbursements, and program fee timing to support residents in stable housing.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of entitlements experience, strong analytical and administrative skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in human services preferred, or HS Diploma with requisite 3 years of relevant experience.
• A minimum of three (3) years of entitlements experience.
• Experience working with adults with mental illness.
• Ability to work individually on projects as well as be a team player.
• Organized and meticulous; pay attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure SSI renewals are handled timely and accurately.
• Ensure Medicaid benefits are intact and maintained for residents.
• Provide materials and assist auditors during SSA audits.
• Deliver direct services to residents aligned with benefit-related service plans.
• Address consumer arrears and pursue arrears recovery with agencies.
• Inform clients and staff about benefit programs and changes to prevent interruptions.
• Facilitate team meetings and case conferences around entitlements.
• Coordinate consumer/tenant meetings to resolve entitlements issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation from intake to discharge per guidelines.
