Job summary

Odyssey House in New York, NY is seeking a part-time Entitlement Medicaid Specialist to help clients access Medicaid, managed care, and private insurance. You will conduct eligibility interviews and process applications with DSS/HRA/SSA, entering data daily in AWARDS and E-Lab.

Qualifications

• Experience with Medicaid and managed care in human services.
• Effective communication and strong Excel and computer skills.
• Background with DSS/HRA/SSI/SSD benefits and recertifications.

Responsibilities

• Review interviews to determine eligibility for Entitlements and Medicaid.
• Process applications via Local DSS or NY State Exchange/Marketplace.
• Enter Medicaid/Medicare/Private Insurance data daily in AWARDS and E-Lab.
• Assist consumers with managed care and NY State Marketplace selection.
• Communicate insurance coverage and disenrollment details to consumers.
• Prepare daily and biweekly status reports on coverage.
