Job summary

Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) invites applications for adjunct faculty in the Entertainment Technologies program. The role involves teaching courses such as live sound production, concert lighting, recording engineering, and music business, with expectations to integrate technology into classroom and lab settings.

Successful candidates will have relevant industry experience and teaching or training background, and will join a pool to be assigned sections or serve as substitute

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Music Technology, Entertainment Technology, Theatre Technology Scenic and Lighting Design, or related field from an institutionally accredited college/university.
• Master’s Degree in Music Technology, Entertainment Technology, Theatre Technology Scenic and Lighting Design, or related field from an institutionally accredited college/university.

Responsibilities

• Prepare & teach departmental courses to include: developing learner centered lesson plans, employing teaching strategies for different learning styles, incorporating current technology in classroom, distance learning and laboratory environments.
• Creating and modeling a quality learning environment that supports a diverse student population.
• Maintaining student records and complying with college, state and federal rules and regulations.
