Job summary

Mohegan Sun is seeking a skilled Lighting Technician to manage all aspects of entertainment lighting, including plotting, programming, and operating a lighting console for shows and events across the property.

The role involves leading lighting crews for load-ins/load-outs, designing lighting for entertainment and special events, and maintaining lighting equipment while adhering to safety procedures. A strong background in theater or live events is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred for theatrical/entertainment lighting.
• Bachelor’s in theatrical/entertainment lighting or related field is a plus.
• Experience with entertainment lighting equipment, consoles, and CAD software is required or considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Load in/load out shows and run lighting crew when assigned as Lighting Designer or Dimmer Tech/Power Person.
• Create lighting plots and set up hang/focus of equipment.
• Operate lighting control systems and design lighting for events.
• Build and maintain lighting fixtures, cables and related equipment.
• Install and operate follow spots and RoboSpots; ensure safety protocols.
