Job description

Position Summary

This position is responsible for performing the load‑in, set‑up, operation, load‑out, and maintenance of all types of staging, rigging, and other related equipment to be used for all entertainment events.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform load‑in, set‑up, operation, load‑out, and maintenance of all types of staging, rigging, and other related equipment for all entertainment events.
• Unload trucks and set up and tear down touring production elements (e.g., build stages, set up boxing rings, basketball courts, install temporary ice rinks, etc.).
• Perform both ground and high rigging, including R‑1 events.
• Maintain, open, and close elevated seating units in the arena.
• Build scenic elements for Entertainment and Special Events departments.
• Inspect and maintain chain hoist inventory.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

• Fabricate and repair metal parts by welding.
• Drive vans and trucks up to 24 feet in length.
• Operate forklift trucks and lift equipment.
• Assist with training programs.
• Assist with any and all entertainment production tasks as needed.

Minimum Education and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of experience working with theatrical staging and rigging equipment, including computer‑based systems.
• Experience with rigging in an arena environment.
• Ability to work at 60ft. or more as a high rigger and operate equipment at 60ft. or more.
• Experience in theatrical carpentry.

Competencies

Training Requirements

• Knowledgeable in the operation of professional rigging equipment.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and climb for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and move all necessary equipment up to 75lb.
• Must be able to work at heights greater than 60ft.
• Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment with frequent interruptions.
• Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours.
