Job summary

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree and bar membership required (CA or NY preferred).
• Experience in entertainment, media, or advertising law.
• Knowledge of IP and marketing/advertising law as applied to content production.
• Familiarity with guild and union production rules and standard terms is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and record management skills.
• Team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort using AI-assisted drafting tools and prompting techniques is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Exercise independent judgment triaging business and legal matters and escalate as needed.
• Draft and negotiate production, partnership, commercial, and marketing agreements.
• Provide legal counsel on brand partnerships and campaigns, including FTC disclosures.
• Conduct clearance reviews with production and creative teams to find workable paths forward.
• Lead contract negotiations with talent agencies and casting teams.
• Advise on guild/union requirements (e.g., SAG-AFTRA).
• Partner with senior leadership to refine policies and procedures across departments.
• Handle other business and legal affairs matters as requested.
