Job summary

Authentic Brands Group seeks a Senior Counsel to lead licensing for entertainment, sports and consumer brands in a fast-paced environment. You will draft, negotiate and close complex IP licensing deals, balancing business needs with risk under the guidance of the Legal - Entertainment team.

You will collaborate with development, brand management and marketing teams across regions, implement policies, and advise on privacy, COPPA and anti-counterfeiting initiatives.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school and NY bar license.
• 8+ years in IP licensing, entertainment, or related commercial work.
• Proven ownership of projects and proactive stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate IP and consumer products licensing agreements.
• Develop contract templates, playbooks, and guidance to improve efficiency.
• Identify legal and commercial risks and propose practical solutions.
• Collaborate with business development, brand management, and marketing teams.
• Advise on trademarks, copyrights, and other IP issues across brands.
• Support brand protection, COPPA/privacy compliance, and royalties audits.
