Job summary

Authentic Brands Group is seeking a Senior Counsel to focus on entertainment, sports and consumer products licensing for our brand portfolio. The role is based in New York City or Los Angeles, with a four-day in-office, one-day remote hybrid schedule.

You will draft and negotiate key IP licensing deals, collaborate with business development and brand management teams, and advise on trademarks and copyrights, enforcement programs, and COPPA/advertising standards as applicable to our kids-focused

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and license to practice in New York State.
• 8+ years of relevant legal experience with IP licensing, consumer products, entertainment, or related commercial transactions, in-house or at a top firm.
• Proven ownership, accountability and ability to manage up with stakeholders.
• Experience leveraging legal technology and contract lifecycle management platforms.
• English fluency is essential; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and manage IP licensing agreements for entertainment, sports and consumer products.
• Develop templates, playbooks and guidance to improve efficiency and consistency.
• Identify risks and craft practical, business-oriented solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams on new initiatives, partnerships and product launches.
• Advise senior stakeholders on IP, trademarks and copyrights throughout the deal lifecycle.
• Coordinate with business development, brand management and marketing teams.
