Job summary

SANY America is seeking a Transportation & Insurance Manager to lead and optimize domestic and international transportation operations, carrier relationships, and logistics governance. The role sits within the Americas team and collaborates with Legal, Finance, Procurement, and Operations to reduce risk and improve performance.

The position also acts as a hands-on logistics resource, managing execution, carrier performance, freight costs, and claim resolutions while aligning with enterprise

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of progressive transportation, logistics, or freight management experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives without direct reporting authority.
• Experience negotiating transportation contracts and supplier agreements; managing freight claims and cargo insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation leadership across multiple business units to ensure consistent processes and best practices.
• Manage daily domestic and international transportation activities including truckload, LTL, ocean, air, rail, parcel, and specialized freight movements.
• Develop enterprise transportation standards and operating procedures.
• Lead enterprise carrier selection, qualification, onboarding, and performance management across multiple business units.
• Coordinate enterprise transportation bid events to leverage total company freight spend and improve purchasing power.
• Maintain carrier scorecards and conduct periodic carrier business reviews.
