Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Minnesota is seeking a self-motivated Technician to support its RD&I Engineers in testing and materials evaluation.

You will set up tests, prepare samples, and build fixtures for accelerated weather and packaging testing, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines. This role emphasizes hands-on testing, safety, and documentation, with opportunities to contribute to innovation in window and door products.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and customer focus.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong aptitude in analysis and problem solving.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and operate hand and power tools.
• Experience with laboratory and shop equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate tests, document results and defects.
• Prepare samples for material testing using saws and shop tools.
• Build test fixtures and install window/door units into thermal chambers.
• Record results and communicate progress to engineers to meet timelines.
• Maintain an organized, safe work environment and follow procedures.
