Blueland is seeking a Director, Enterprise Systems to become the company’s first dedicated Enterprise Systems and IT leader. Reporting to the CFO, you will own the enterprise systems and day-to-day IT operations, partnering with Finance, Operations, and Data & Analytics to improve processes and roadmap execution.
This role is hands-on: you’ll set direction, perform critical NetSuite work, manage partnerships, and build the function without a large internal team.
Blueland is reimagining everyday cleaning essentials with safe, products that are free from single-use plastic and eliminate the need to choose between what’s safe for your family, good for the planet, and proven to work. With 45 patents granted & 39 patents pending worldwide, Blueland’s innovative products have diverted over 1 billion single-use plastic bottles from landfills and oceans and 7.5 million pounds of CO2 from the atmosphere since 2019. While traditional cleaners are packaged in plastic and may contain up to 95% water, all Blueland products utilize tablet or powder formats, designed to be used directly or mixed with household tap water, and come in compostable or recyclable packaging. From the kitchen sink to the laundry room, we create products families can trust and afford to use over and over (and over) again. Available on Blueland.com and nationwide at Target, Costco, Whole Foods and select local retailers.
In a world where half of the planet’s carbon emissions come from just 36 companies, we believe that business should be a force for good and that mission and profit are not mutually exclusive—in fact, we’re proof of it. We’re committed to holding ourselves to the highest parental and environmental standards—including ongoing and unbiased certifications from trusted third‑party organizations like Cradle to Cradle, EPA Safer Choice, USDA BioPreferred, Leaping Bunny, and EWG Verified. We’re also a Certified Climate Neutral business and certified B Corp “Best for the World.”
Blueland was featured on the Season 11 premiere of Shark Tank and successfully secured an investment. We’re also well‑funded by top tier venture capital firms as well as notable investors including Gwyneth Paltrow, Justin Timberlake and founders of Sweetgreen, Thrive Market, Honest Company, Rent the Runway, and Bonobos. Our products have been featured across top tier outlets including the New York Times, Fast Company, TechCrunch, VOGUE, Wall Street Journal, Inc., and more.
Blueland is looking for a Director, Enterprise Systems to serve as the company’s first dedicated Enterprise Systems and IT leader and build the technology foundation needed to support our next stage of growth.
Reporting to the CFO, this role will own Blueland’s enterprise systems and day-to-day IT operations. You will partner closely with Finance, Operations, Data & Analytics, and other functions to improve business processes, manage our systems roadmap, and ensure employees have reliable, secure and effective technology.
This is a hands‑on builder role. As our first dedicated Enterprise Systems hire, you will both set the direction and do the work. On any given day, that could mean prioritizing the enterprise systems roadmap, redesigning a NetSuite process with Finance or Operations, managing an implementation partner, provisioning access for a new hire, resolving an employee technology issue, or evaluating a new application.
This role requires someone equally comfortable setting the systems roadmap and rolling up their sleeves to execute it. You will be the first dedicated Enterprise Systems leader at Blueland, supported by external partners and business stakeholders. You should enjoy creating structure where it doesn’t yet exist, solving day‑to‑day problems yourself, and building processes that make those problems easier to solve the next time. We are looking for someone excited to build the foundation and develop the function without a large team to execute.
We expect the role to evolve as Blueland grows. Initially, you will personally handle many day-to-day systems and IT activities while leveraging managed service providers and other external partners for specialized support. Over time, you will help determine the right internal and external resources required to scale the function.
