Job Summary

The Workday Developer manages a broad portfolio of financial and HCM applications, integrations, and reports delivered mainly through the Workday cloud ERP platform. Candidates should have strong financials and HCM experience in ERP implementations, with at least one Workday Finance and HCM implementation, demonstrating solid skills in the Workday toolset while maintaining a focus on quality, security, and detail.

Essential Job Functions

• Gather business requirements from the Business Community & management, and convert these into technical specifications, including report creation and analysis for enhanced business insights.
• Manage and develop reports and conduct data analysis.
• Perform root cause analysis to resolve break/fix issues.
• Configure and support Workday Finance and/or other modules such as Customers, Projects, Timekeeping, or Payroll.
• Maintain data integrity during all data transformations and transmissions.
• Support prototypes and demonstrations of new functionalities.
• Assist with bi-annual upgrade processes.
• Act as the primary support contact with Workday, managing communications with Workday Support.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in business analysis, technical business analysis, or financial reporting.
• Workday Pro certification is highly preferred.
• Strong background in Financials or ERP/Workday Financials.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
• Preferred backgrounds include computer science, finance, or accounting.
• Experience with implementing or supporting Workday Finance and related modules.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Data Quality and Data Transformation using Workday Prism Analytics.
• Functional awareness of managing Workday VNDLY and Adaptive Planning integrations.
• Experience integrating third-party SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce) with Boomi is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong documentation skills; sample non-proprietary documentation may be requested.
• Collaborative team player with a proactive approach and ownership mindset.
• Commitment to quality and attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn new technologies and functions.
• Expertise in Workday technologies such as Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) and Report Writer.
