Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Consulting Systems Engineer to lead Architecture and Engineering for the Enterprise Platforms & Applications portfolio. You will provide enterprise-level technical authority and oversee a broad set of IT solutions that enable business development, program management, financial management, HR, IT, and more.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in large-scale software portfolios, and deep knowledge of modern platforms and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline and 16 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 14 years, or PhD with 11 years
• Demonstrated experience as a chief architect, chief engineer, or equivalent technical leader for large-scale software portfolios
• Proven track record architecting and delivering complex solutions across multiple domains
• Expertise in modern application and platform technologies, including cloud platforms, microservices, containerization, API-driven architectures, data platforms, analytics environments, AI

Responsibilities

• Define and oversee the technical architecture, standards, integrations, verification, and validation for ~190 enterprise platforms and applications
• Drive platform performance through metrics definition and tracking across all portfolios
• Own the technical performance, reliability, and security of platforms and applications
• Define enterprise technical strategy, architectures, and data governance for the EPA portfolio
• Provide technical authority for major platform investments and modernization initiatives
• Lead portfolio rationalization to reduce duplication and long-term debt
• Mentor architects and engineers across the organization
• Lead technical reviews and design reviews and participate in gate reviews
