Job summary

Oklahoma Baptist University seeks a Systems Administrator for Enterprise Systems to maintain and optimize data integrations across campus systems, including ERP, HR/payroll, finance, and student information. The role emphasizes SQL skills, API integrations, and collaboration with diverse stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will manage data governance, security practices, and documentation, ensuring reliable, secure exchanges and productive partnerships with vendors and campus users.

Qualifications

• Experience with relational databases (Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL) and strong SQL for data extraction/transformations.
• Experience developing and maintaining integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, SFTP/file exchanges).
• Ability to organize complex initiatives, form and lead teams, and facilitate effective meetings with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent customer service and ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Strong communication and documentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Understanding of higher-education data privacy, security, and compliance (FERPA).
• Beneficial familiarity with identity management, version control (Git), and scripting (Python/PowerShell).

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise system integrations across ERP, HR/payroll, finance, student information, CRM, LMS, and reporting platforms.
• Build and troubleshoot data integrations using SQL, APIs, file transfers, and scheduled jobs.
• Collaborate with campus stakeholders to translate business needs into technical requirements.
• Coordinate small technical projects, organize tasks, and track progress with stakeholders.
• Maintain data governance, access controls, and compliance with FERPA policies.
