Job summary

Erias Ventures is seeking a System Administrator in Columbia, MD to support IT system implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing operations. You will handle day-to-day administration, monitoring, and problem resolution across client/server/storage/network devices, with Tier I/II escalation as needed.

The role requires UNIX and Windows expertise, Cisco hardware experience, and a current Top-Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

• Five years of SA experience in programs/contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Current Top-Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph; no sponsorship for clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems.
• Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support, problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
• Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems; install/load OS software and maintain system integrity.
• Support installation and maintenance of Cisco routers and switches for enterprise systems.

Description

We are seeking a System Administrator to provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems. Manages IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provides support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc. Provides Tier I (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems. Provides support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers. Provides support for the dispatch system and hardware problem and remains involved in the resolution process. Configures and manages UN1X and Windows operating systems and installs/loads operating system software, troubleshoots, maintains integrity and configures network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance. This candidate should have the skills and experience necessary to support installation and maintenance of Cisco routers and switches in support of enterprise systems for the program.

Clearance

A current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience

Five (5) years of experience as a SA in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SA experience substituted for a bachelor's degree.
