Erias Ventures, LLC seeks a System Administrator to support a large-scale Linux environment, installing software, monitoring systems, and resolving issues across compute, network, memory, and storage components.

The role requires a Top-Secret/SCI with FS polygraph clearance and 15 years of Systems Administration experience; bachelor’s degree required. The company offers comprehensive benefits and a competitive salary range.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Linux CLI and scripting in Bash/Python.
• Experience installing and supporting COTS/GOTS/FOSS on large Linux clusters.
• Strong knowledge of compute, network, memory, and storage components.
• Hands-on with Red Hat Satellite management.
• Familiar with Splunk for data ingestion, indexing, and monitoring.
• Proven ability to operate and troubleshoot large Linux clusters.
• Experience with VMware ESXi and virtualization.
• Familiar with IaC using SaltStack and Ansible.
• Knowledge of corporate STE/STN security policies and procedures.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as HPE OneView and Nagios.
• Experience with Docker containerization.

Description

We are seeking a System Administrator who shall be responsible for providing support for a large-scale Linux system including installation of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all the compute, network, memory, and storage system components. In addition, the System Administrator shall maintain the system security integrity and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Clearance

A current Top-Secret/SCI with FS polygraph security clearance (within 7 years) is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.

Experience

Fifteen (15) years' experience as a Systems Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional Systems Administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

• Experience in performing System Administration including installation, configuration, and support of COTS/GOTS/FOSS software in a large-scale Linux cluster environment
• General technical knowledge regarding compute, network, memory, and storage system components
• Experience with Red Hat Satellite systems management solution
• Familiarity using Splunk for ingesting, indexing, searching, monitoring, and analyzing big data
• Experience with the sustainment and support of large Linux clusters including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution
• Experience configuring and sustaining VMware ESXi/Virtualization environments
• Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation tools such as SaltStack and Ansible
• Experience with corporate STE/STN security compliance policies and procedures
• Experience using system monitoring tools such as HPE One View and Nagios
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker

Desired skills

• Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
• Experience with distributed files systems such as Weka, CEPH, GPFS, and HDFS
• Experience with the Atlassian Suite of Tools such as Jira and Confluence
