Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an exceptional strategy leader to shape the long-term direction of its Technology, Industrial & Governments sector. The Director of Enterprise Strategy will partner with the Chief Strategy Officer and TIG leaders to drive enterprise planning, capital allocation, and market strategy across diverse client markets.

This high-visibility role requires strong analytical rigor and practical understanding of U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level of professional experience.
• 10+ years of relevant strategy or related experience.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search).
• 5+ years of experience at a top-tier strategy firm (preferred).
• Masters Degree – MBA or closely related degree (preferred).
• Experience supervising a strategy or related team (preferred).
• Deep knowledge of U.S. power delivery, grid modernization, and infrastructure markets (preferred).
• Familiarity with U.S. federal contracting and procurement dynamics (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Drive enterprise strategic planning and capital prioritization across the organization.
• Partner with finance and operations to implement rigorous capital allocation frameworks.
• Continuously evaluate U.S. utility market dynamics, regulatory shifts, and funding programs.
• Translate strategy into operational changes and governance across business units.
• Collaborate with TIG leaders to identify growth opportunities and drive execution.
