Job summary

Acuative is seeking experienced Field Service Engineers to provide on-site and remote support for complex enterprise server environments. You will diagnose hardware, BIOS, drivers, OS, and application issues while performing break/fix and preventive maintenance.

The role requires strong hands‑on experience with x86 server hardware and major brands (Supermicro, Dell, HPE/HP, EMC). Travel is up to 75%+, with opportunities to mentor teammates and develop service programs.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years servicing complex x86 server systems and components.
Hands‑on experience with enterprise server hardware and components.
Experience with major platforms (Supermicro, Dell, HPE/HP, EMC or similar).
Strong diagnostics, break/fix and on‑site customer service skills.
Understanding BIOS, firmware, drivers and OS/app loads; troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Provide on‑site and remote troubleshooting and support for enterprise server equipment.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, BIOS, drivers, OS, and application issues.
Perform break/fix services, preventive maintenance, repairs, and parts replacement.
Manage repair and parts cycles to meet service levels and timelines.
Take ownership of escalated issues and coordinate with teams to resolve.
Provide second‑line technical support to resellers and distributors.
Maintain knowledge of enterprise server solutions and technologies.
Collaborate with TAM, Service Manager, and Product Manager to improve programs.
Conduct fault triage, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
Create and contribute to technical documentation and training materials.
Travel to customer sites to resolve issues and provide training.
