Job summary

Epicor is seeking a Server Administrator to install, maintain, and support enterprise-level servers in Austin, focusing on reliability and security. The role requires troubleshooting, scripting for automation, and collaboration across teams to meet deadlines.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in server administration, with a background in Windows Server, VMware ESXi, and Active Directory. On-call and after-hours maintenance are part of the rotation, with comprehensive health and development

Qualifications

3+ years in server administration and troubleshooting.
High school diploma is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience with Windows Server, ESXi, Active Directory, DNS, and monitoring tools.
Desirable experience with patching solutions (Tanium, BigFix), Azure, Nutanix, backup/recovery, Citrix, and RHEL.
Ability to work in a team, identify information needs, and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and oral communication and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot server issues and manage physical and virtualized servers.
Monitor tens of thousands of compute and networking assets.
Use scripting technologies to automate tasks efficiently.
Administer system management tools, including patching and antivirus products.
Manage user and computer access to Active Directory using authentication technologies.
Follow operational policies and procedures for enterprise environments.
Document design, maintenance, and support procedures for routine tasks.
Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation and off-hours maintenance.
