Job summary

Relay is hiring a Director of Sales to lead our most critical industrial segments from Raleigh, NC. This high-impact role builds and leads a pod of Account Executives, owning strategy for 2-3 proven segments such as Auto, Steel, Food & Bev, and Logistics, and reports to the VP of Sales.

You will guide complex enterprise deals, refine sales processes, and partner with Marketing and Product to shape ICP and roadmap. A minimum of 7+ years in enterprise sales and 3+ years in leadership is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of enterprise sales experience with leadership exposure.
• Ability to communicate with C-level executives and plant managers in industrial accounts.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets as an individual contributor and in leadership roles.
• Strong ability to recruit, mentor, and scale a sales pod.
• Experience navigating complex, multi-site enterprise deals.

Responsibilities

• Lead a pod of Account Executives and own strategy for 2-3 industrial segments.
• Oversee and guide AEs through complex enterprise sales cycles.
• Intervene to close lighthouse deals within major accounts.
• Refine sales processes and playbooks for industrial procurement and operations.
• Provide sales direction to grow revenue and team size as demand grows.
• Coordinate internal syncs and QBRs to ensure peak performance.
• Recruit, hire, and train top talent as the segment scales.
• Provide field feedback to sharpen ICP and product roadmap.
