Job summary

AEG is seeking a highly skilled Security Architect (ESA) to join our Information Security team. Reporting to the VP of Information Security, this role leads the design and implementation of secure architectures that enable the business while reducing risk across cloud, on‑prem, and hybrid environments.

The candidate will work with IT, Venues, Infrastructure, App Development, Legal, Compliance, and Security Operations to embed security standards into enterprise solutions and drive secure design

Qualifications

• BA/BS in CS, cybersecurity, engineering, information systems or related field; master's or advanced certs preferred.
• 8-10 years in information security with at least 5 years in security architecture or related leadership.
• Experience designing and securing enterprise solutions across on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Hands-on with IAM, network segmentation, encryption, logging/monitoring, and SSDLC practices.
• Experience developing security standards, reference architectures, and secure design guidance.
• Experience architecture risk assessments, threat modeling, and security reviews for enterprise systems.
• Ability to collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, application development, and business stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of firewalls, WAFs, IAM, endpoint protection, cloud security tools, and SIEM/SOAR.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain security architecture standards, reference architectures, and design patterns across cloud, infrastructure, network, endpoint, identity, and application environments.
• Define secure architecture principles that support network segmentation and identity-driven access controls.
• Ensure new technologies are designed with security in mind and align with security requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to support objectives and CISO priorities.
• Create architecture guidance for enterprise apps, cloud platforms, integrations, identity services, and venue technologies.
• Incorporate threat intelligence, threat modeling, and emerging risks into design standards.
• Provide hands-on security guidance during design, implementation, and deployment.
• Lead security architecture reviews and risk-based recommendations for new technologies and major initiatives.
• Work with engineering and operations to implement architectures and controls.
• Evaluate security controls balancing risk reduction with business needs.
• Partner with IT, App Dev, Infrastructure, Security Ops, and PMO to align security requirements.
• Serve as security SME within project teams.
