Job summary

Marqeta is seeking a Senior Director, Sales (Financial Services) to lead a high‑performing team selling to F1000 customers. You will craft and execute strategic plans to achieve revenue targets while expanding Marqeta's enterprise footprint.

You will engage with top decision‑makers, collaborate across marketing, product, and customer success, and stay ahead of payments industry trends to refine sales strategies. This role offers remote work in the United States or in Oakland NY offices.

Qualifications

• Fifteen plus years of enterprise technology sales and account management experience within a payments organization.
• Five plus years of experience leading teams and building high‑performing AEs & AMs.
• Experience selling complex, multi‑product technology platform solutions to enterprise customers.
• Industry expertise in Payments, Retail, Fintech and Banking with ability to influence in complex scenarios.
• Track record of delivering YoY new logo bookings and expanding revenue in-year.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 5+ Account Executives and Account Managers targeting F1000 customers and prospects.
• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to hit revenue targets and grow the customer base.
• Identify and engage key decision-makers in enterprise organizations and build strong relationships.
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success to align on customer needs and drive satisfaction.
• Maintain deep understanding of Marqeta's solutions and communicate value to clients.
