Your new role
We are searching for an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial-minded Enterprise Sales Director with a strong background in solution-based SaaS selling within the Pharma/Biotech/Medical Device industry.

In this pivotal role, you will be a vital member of our Corporate Sales Team, supporting Altmetric and ReadCube. Your primary focus will be on cultivating new business opportunities and nurturing relationships with existing clients. To excel, you must be sales-driven yet customer-focused, passionate about innovative technologies, and adept at solving customer challenges through our cutting-edge solutions.

You will operate as a hunter-seller, combining industry expertise with exceptional sales acumen to uncover new opportunities, deliver innovative solutions, and exceed revenue goals. You will be instrumental in aligning our SaaS solutions with the evolving needs of the life sciences market.

What you’ll be doing
  • Embrace entrepreneurial ownership of a major sales territory for a fast-growing suite of products
  • Develop a deep understanding of Digital Science solutions like ReadCube & Altmetric, including their features, benefits, and applications in life sciences
  • Communicate the value of our services to customers from both technical and commercial perspectives
  • Identify and engage potential clients by understanding their challenges and presenting tailored SaaS solutions
  • Navigate complex sales processes, identify stakeholders, and address client concerns to close deals effectively
  • Develop and execute sales plans to meet and exceed targets
  • Manage a pipeline of opportunities and leads, building strong relationships
  • Collaborate with internal teams to generate leads and increase awareness
  • Act as “eyes and ears” on customer needs to inform product development
What you’ll bring to the role
  • Several years of Life Science sales experience; SaaS experience is a plus
  • Proven ability to sell into biotech, life sciences, pharma, healthcare, and medical device sectors
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic account plans
  • Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding 6-figure annual sales targets
  • Understanding of scientific and research enterprise technology
  • Proven prospecting, qualifying, and closing skills
  • Experience balancing personal quotas and prospecting goals
  • Proficiency in CRM software (preferably Salesforce) and navigating SaaS ecosystems
  • Curiosity about technology and innovation
  • Professional, adaptable, motivated, and ethical
  • Strong problem-solving skills and timely resolution approach
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
