Job description

ServiceTitan Manager & Practice Lead- PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH ServiceTitan

Position Overview

We are seeking a ServiceTitan Manager to lead our ServiceTitan practice as we scale through acquisition and operational growth. This is the most senior ServiceTitan role in the company — the person accountable for the platform end‑to‑end, the strategy behind our model tenant, and the standard of work delivered to every office and field employee who touches the system.

The right candidate combines deep, hands‑on ServiceTitan mastery with real operational fluency in HVAC and/or plumbing service businesses. You will also be a trusted advisor to operations, finance, and IT leadership, and the player‑coach who builds the ServiceTitan function as the company grows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and evolve the ServiceTitan practice: standards, governance, model tenant, roadmap, and team structure.
  • Define the long‑term ServiceTitan strategy in partnership with operations, finance, and IT executive leadership.
  • Build and mentor the ServiceTitan team as headcount grows; set the bar for hiring, training, and performance.
  • Establish change control, release management, and documentation standards that scale across a multi‑brand portfolio.
  • Represent ServiceTitan capabilities and constraints to the executive team; translate business strategy into platform decisions.
  • Lead the end‑to‑end technical ingestion of acquired companies’ ServiceTitan tenants into our enterprise hub.
  • Own integration playbooks, cutover plans, and risk management for each acquisition; serve as the senior point of contact with ServiceTitan during integration.
  • Direct configuration alignment, data migration, mapping, and cleanup work to bring acquired tenants to our model tenant standard.
  • Partner with the deal and integration teams during diligence to assess target‑company ServiceTitan environments and surface integration risks early.
HVAC & Plumbing Operational Partnership
  • Serve as the bridge between ServiceTitan capability and real‑world HVAC and plumbing service operations — dispatch, sold‑hours, membership programs, replacement sales, recurring service agreements, warranty, and call‑by‑call profitability.
  • Partner with service managers, GMs, and dispatch leadership to design workflows that reflect how the trades actually run.
  • Configure and refine pricebooks, business units, payroll, commission structures, and reporting to support HVAC and plumbing business models.
  • Use trade knowledge to coach office staff and technicians beyond the software — connecting ServiceTitan workflows to operational and financial outcomes.
Training, Change Management, and Daily Support
  • Lead on‑site training at acquired locations for office staff (CSRs, dispatchers, accounting, managers) and field technicians on the ServiceTitan mobile app.
  • Develop and maintain the training curriculum, SOPs, and quick‑reference materials used across the organization.
  • Oversee the daily ServiceTitan support queue; personally handle senior‑level escalations and complex configuration issues.
  • Identify recurring issues and drive systemic fixes through configuration, process, or training changes.
Projects, Integrations, and Platform Enhancements
  • Lead ServiceTitan‑related projects across the business: new integrations, new business units, new service lines, and platform enhancements.
  • Scope and deliver integrations between ServiceTitan and accounting, BI, marketing, dispatch, and third‑party API systems.
  • Evaluate new ServiceTitan features and modules; recommend adoption decisions based on operational impact and ROI.
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of hands‑on ServiceTitan experience as a configurator, administrator, and operational owner — not solely as an end user.
  • Deep, demonstrable HVAC and/or plumbing service business background — either as a former operator (service manager, GM, ops leader, dispatch leader, controller) or through extensive ServiceTitan work supporting HVAC/plumbing companies.
  • Mastery of ServiceTitan configuration: pricebook, workflows, forms, tagging, business units, payroll and commission setup, dispatch settings, memberships, reporting, and integrations.
  • Experience leading or materially contributing to M&A integrations, multi‑tenant rollouts, or enterprise‑hub consolidations in ServiceTitan.
  • Track record of building standards, model tenants, or governance frameworks across multiple business units or brands.
  • Proven ability to mentor and develop more junior analysts and to lead cross‑functional initiatives without formal authority.
  • Strong executive communication skills — comfortable advising C‑suite operators and translating between technicians, managers, and executives.
  • Willingness to travel to acquired and existing sites, with heavier travel during active integration windows.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior career time inside an HVAC or plumbing service company — ride‑alongs and ticket‑pulls count, P&L ownership counts more.
  • Experience in private equity‑backed or roll‑up environments with rapid acquisition cadence.
  • ServiceTitan certifications (Administrator, Implementation, Pro features) and active involvement in the ServiceTitan community / Pantheon.
  • Experience standing up or leading a ServiceTitan center of excellence or shared‑services function.
  • Familiarity with adjacent tools: Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Power BI, ServiceTitan APIs, and data‑migration platforms.
Location & Travel

Location: Dallas, TX preferred. Strong remote candidates will be considered however.

Travel: Periodic travel to acquired and operating sites required, with heavier travel during active integration projects. Fully remote candidates should expect to also travel to Dallas occasionally.

Why This Role

This is the senior seat for someone who has spent a career inside ServiceTitan and the trades, and is ready to own the practice at an enterprise scale. You will set the standard, build the team, and shape how the company grows through acquisition. The work is high‑visibility, the impact is measurable in the field every day, and the platform is the operational backbone of the business. We are very actively growing and engaging in rewarding and challenging projects.
